“Bacău – prominent figures”

The project: “Bacău – prominent figures” aims at promoting cultural values within the local community of the city, through events focused on the life and contribution of people who had an important role in the development of the cultural and economical life of the city. Reaching already its 3rd edition in 2018, the initiative helps raising awareness on prominent local figures that might not always be known and recognized on a national or international level, but are valuable and relevant for the community. At the same time, the project is targeted at helping the development of local cultural tourism and increasing the visibility of the city of Bacău. The project events facilitate the opening of new opportunities for dialogue across cultures and foster a positive path of defining and promoting the cultural identity of the city. Thus, we can call it a cultural branding project, with positive impact on how Romanians feel about their national values, but also on how the city of Bacău and Romania in general are perceived from across borders
